VISION: The Tabernacle Baptist Church Missionary Society exists to develop Christian character, to aid in carrying out the Great Commission, to study and promote home missions, foreign missions and Christian education.  To provide an opportunity for Christian fellowship and to impress upon our hearts and minds the fact that the spirit of missions is the real Spirit of Christ. Matthew 28:16-20

INTEGRITY: With the Spirit of Jesus, we will provide service an resources (home and foreign) where needed with the intent of giving God the glory and to win souls for Christ.  We will provide guidance to the Guild Girls and Young Davids which are youth auxiliaries of the Missionary Society.

STRUCTURE: Our president chairs the TBC Missionary Society monthly meetings. Our president and leaders represents the TBC Missionary Society at Montgomery County Missionary Union Meetings every month, and our members attend and support Springfield District Association events as well as support Western Union Baptist Association, Ohio Baptist Convention and the National Baptist Convention.  We encourage others to join our mission.

ACCOUNTABILITY: We pray for our church, our Pastor and our ministry.  We meet monthly (which is held the 4th Sunday of each month following church service) and assess our goals, pray and distribute pertinent information to carry out our mission.  We are reminded of our mission by reciting the Missionary Pledge:
"I pledge by daily reading, meditation and communion with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to live an upright Christian life, to practice His teachings in my dealings with my fellow man; to dedicate my talent and give of my time, influence and means to teaching or spreading the Christian religion at home and abroad.  To win souls through personal service for Christ; to encourage and help in the enlistment of young people in Christian work and to make my home a center of Christian light and love. To these ends, I pledge to devote myself and seek divine aid and guidance daily that I may become a living witness and a bright and shining light for my Lord"

Metting: Second Thursday of each month @ 5:30 pm

VISION: To welcome and be able to serve all who enter the Sanctuary. Psalm 84:10b "I had rather be a door keeper in the house of my God."

Ephesians 6:7 "With good will doing service. As to the Lord, and not to men."

In order to be an Usher, you should first be a child of God and have a relationship with Jesus Christ. We are one body working together and staying connected to the vine which is Jesus Christ.

John 15:1-2 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away; and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it that it may bring forth more truth."                   2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

INTEGRITY: Our goal as Usher; to be available, to meet the needs of the church, and foremost in line with the Word of God, with the purpose of our gift and fruits of the spirit as our guide.

Ephesians 4:12,16 For the perfecting of the saint, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." "From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love."                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Galatians 5 :22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, against such thing there is no law."

STRUCTURE: We need to reach out to the youth to grow because without the youth we won't bear any fruit. Bible study and training goes hand and hand.

John 15:2 "Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away; and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it that it may bring forth more truth."                                                                                                                                             2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

ACCOUNTABILITY: We need to be accountable of or calling to serve. When people enter into the sanctuary, we are the first contact they see, that's why as Ushers, we should be ready with a joyful heart. We are to gather for prayer before undertaking the duty of Sunday service, know the order of service, and to meet the needs of the congregation. Keep one another lifted up in prayer.

Colossians 3:23 "And what so ever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men."                                                        Colossians 4:6 "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man."

Meeting: On Call

VISION: The mission of the Tabernacle Baptist Church Website Ministry is to fulfill the Lord's command to "Go into the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation." (Mark 16:15), by reaching globally and inviting visitors into our Christian family, as well as, encouraging our members with the spiritual tools we use to fulfill that command.

INTEGRITY: We will work diligently to be sure all content on the website is accurate, timely and worthy of God's honor as His command says, "Let all things be done decently and in order." 1Corinthian 14:40

STRUCTURE: Our expectations are to strive to help one another as servants of our Lord Jesus Christ in meeting deadlines; being detailed and thorough; to hold each other up as God holds us up to accomplish His task, "For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's cultivated field, God's building." 1Corinthians 3:9

ACCOUNTABILITY: Just as, "every one of us shall give account of himself to God." (Romans 14:12), so shall we give an account to each member. Making sure we stay on point with God's mission of proclaiming the gospel to the world by participating in prayer, Bible study and stewardship.
