Bishop Robert Warren Lyons, Jr. & First Lady Jamila Z. Lyons
Bishop Robert W. Lyons Jr. is a graduate of the University of Dayton, with a B.A. in religious studies, a graduate of Liberty Theological Seminary, with a Masters of Arts in Global Studies, and is currently pursuing his PhD in Christian Leadership from Anderson University's Clamp Divinity School. Bishop Lyons spent 11 years in secular employment with the City of Dayton before transitioning to full-time pastoral ministry. Bishop Lyons serves as the Senior Pastor-Teacher of The MarketPlace Movement in Dayton, Ohio, founded in 2003 by he and his wife, First Lady Jamila Z. Lyons, and beginning in 2024, Bishop Lyons also became the Senior Pastor-Teacher of The Tabernacle Baptist Church, in Dayton Ohio.
In 2014, Bishop Lyons was consecrated to the sacred office of the bishopric and now serves as the Establishmentarian and Presiding Bishop of Covenant Reformation of Churches and Ministries. Training is Bishop Lyons’ passion, what he does, and what he wants to be known for. Bishop Lyons believes that every person on this earth has a purpose (“a divine why”) and vision (“what we are known for, by all people, for all time”). Our purpose and our vision must stay in alignment with GOD and His Will, otherwise we will have unnecessary chaos in our lives. Together, Bishop Lyons and his wife, First Lady Jamila Z. Lyons, are the delighted parents of three young adults, and they strive to lead their lives and ministry utilizing the Blueprint found in the word of God.
Jamila Z. Lyons is called to teach women to live fulfilled lives while balancing the many hats that they wear. It is her sincere personal belief that a personal relationship with the Lord is the best Investment that you can make in life. With this in view, she has dedicated her life to developing the skills necessary to live a Christ fulfilled life and train others to do the same. Jamila holds a B.A. in Business with an emphasis in hospitality management and a Masters, in Education, with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction. She has taught classes on organized prayer, spiritual disciplines, creating a healthy home environment, living as a fulfilled woman, and various other courses. Just as Jamila works hard to train others, she believes in balance and time with family. She enjoys spending time with her 3 adult children, and her husband of 25 years as of last June. She enjoys many hobbies . She enjoys, Gardening, Puzzles, Movies and more. Her hope in life is that in every person she meets, she leaves a deposit of God’s goodness in their lives.
